Apple has released iPod Updater 2004-11-15, an update to the portable player which adds several new features to iPod minis, as well as improving support for USB2 for all iPods.

The update adds many of the features of 4G iPods to the iPod mini, including the ability to shuffle and play the song library with one click, create multiple on-the-go playlists, delete songs from on-the-go playlists, and hear the click wheel over headphones.

Mac users should use Software Update to update their iPods, while Windows users can find the update at Apple's web site.
