Belkin has released an adapter for the iPod shuffle that converts the tiny flash-based MP3 player's standard USB plug to an Apple dock connector. This device will give iPod shuffle users access to a wider range of iPod accessories, including portable docking speakers like the Altec Lansing inMotion IM7 and the Bose SoundDock, as well as extended battery packs and Apple dock connector cords. It will provide access to the iPod shuffle's audio line-out capability, though as we've written before, the iPod shuffle's headphone output is extraordinarily robust compared with that of any other player on the market. The adapter will ship in late September and will be priced at $19.99.
