Belkin and Sonnet have announced two new products aimed at car-using iPod owners. The Belkin TuneBase FM and Sonnet PodFreq are both combined FM transmitter and iPod chargers, allowing users to charge their iPods while listening to music on the road.

Belkin's TuneBase FM is a combined FM transmitter and charger designed for the iPod mini. The product is powered via a car's cigarette lighter, and features a custom-designed swivel cradle with a flexible steel neck contruction, allowing it to be positioned easily inside the car. TuneBase FM is priced at $79.99.

Meanwhile, Sonnet has announced that its PodFreq FM transmitter for iPod now comes with a car charger at no extra cost. Compatible with all third and fourth generation iPods, PodFreq's charger simply plugs into the product's FireWire port to charge the iPod. PodFreq is priced at around $99.
